Cypress Grove Nature Park
Located in the floodplain of the Forked Deer River, Cypress Grove Nature Park is a preserve for indigenous wildlife, waterfowl, plants, and trees. It is located just minutes from downtown Jackson. The park features the Rockwell Observation Tower, 25-acre Wood Duck Lake, Killdeer Pond, and the Aerie Trail Raptor Center.
Middle Fork Bottoms
Middle Fork Bottoms is an 850-acre nature area that boasts nearly five miles of paved trails for hiking and biking, opportunities for kayaking and canoeing, a 10-acre lake stocked for fishing, as well as fishing spots along the river, wildlife areas, and even a place to train retrievers for wetland hunting.
Jackson Sportsplex
The West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex, operated by the City of Jackson is the Southeast’s premier youth baseball and softball facility. Located in the heart of West Tennessee and easily accessible by major highways, the Sportsplex is almost midway between Nashville and Memphis at Exit 85 on Interstate 40.

Jackson Downtown Dog Park
This one-acre park is open for dogs of all sizes and is near Jackson Walk Apartments and Jackson’s AMP at the market.
Dr. Vicki Schneider Lake Dog Park
Located right outside The Ballpark at Jackson, this 11-acre park includes areas for small and large dogs with agility courses and water features.
